Pupils in 5th 6th class were paid a visit from Val and Mark from the Irish inland Fisheries Board. They taught us about the years it takes for different types of waste to break down in the environment. They showed us the different species of fish in our rivers and the showed us how to identify a healthy, non polluted river bed should look like by identifying the organisms present in the river bed!
best of all we got to see the macro organisms in trays from a kick test from a local river bed. Can you see the may fly with three tails?

Pupils in all classes enjoyed a show on Friday from the travelling Circus. It was a thrilling show with acrobatics , sword balancing and funny clowns !!!
