On Friday, ask someone to call out your spelling words so that you can test yourself. Then use your Spellcheck book to help you correct your spellings. This year is the year of the pig. We made Chinese Fans. We wrote "Happy New Year" in mandarin. It was very tricky but we enjoyed the challenge!
   Here in 3rd and 4th we really enjoyed learning about the parts of a plant. We learned the names of the different parts and their functions. We learned about what seeds need to develop into flowers. We planted our own sunflower seeds. We are watching them grow and are making sure they have enough water, light and the correct tempreture.
Today we celebrated Safer Internet Day in our classroom. We discussed the different ways we use the internet in our everyday lives. We talked about how useful and fun it can be. We also cane to see some of the dangers of internet usage. As a class, we spoke about ways of making sure we stay safe when using the internet. We now are much more informed about how to be a SMART internet user. We enjoyed designing posters to promote internet safety and to mark Safer Internet Day.   Here in 3rd and 4th class we enjoyed learning about absorption. We picked different materials to test whether or not they would absorb water. We made perdictions and then carried out the experiment. We found that the tea towel was the most absorbant.  |
